 to the origins of the scene and its worldwide development and lead directl

 URBAN ARTS CAMPUS 2026: 05.07.2026 - 12.07.2026\nThis year's Urban Arts Ca
 mpus at Garagencampus Chemnitz is an intensive urban arts experience for c
 hildren and young people who not only want to look at graffiti\, street ar
 t and contemporary forms of creative expression\, but also experience\, un
 derstand and actively shape them themselves. At the beginning of the creat
 ive week\, participants immerse themselves in the history\, culture and gl
 obal development of graffiti and street art. Through talks\, films and joi
 nt screenings\, they gain insights into the origins of this movement in Ne
 w York City\, its spread to Europe and the continuing significance of this
  culture to this day. This is followed directly by practical work. The cre
 ative week concludes with a special film premiere. A short film specially 
 produced during the entire creative process captures the atmosphere\, the 
 development of the artworks and the personal stories of the participants.\
 nThe programme is aimed at teenagers and young people (aged 12 and over)\,
  but does not exclude other interested parties. Registration is required. 
 The consent of a parent or guardian is required for minors up to and inclu
 ding the age of 16. During the workshops\, supervision is provided by the 
 workshop team. There may be free periods outside of the workshop times. Th
 e responsibility for participation lies with the legal guardians\, who mus
 t ensure that they are authorised to participate.\nParticipation in the UR
 BAN ARTS CAMPUS is free of charge. Early cancellation is recommended so th
 at places that become available can be reallocated. In the event of last-m
 inute cancellations\, places may be reallocated.\nAll materials required f
 or the workshops will be provided. With the exception of textiles such as 
 T-shirts or hoodies for the upcycling workshop\, which you must bring your
 self. It is recommended that you wear clothing that is suitable for creati
 ve work and can also get dirty\, as you will be working with colours and s
 pray materials.
