DESCRIPTION:Day 7 - URBAN ARTS CAMPUS Exhibition Opening & Paint Club\nThe
  Garage Campus becomes an open exhibition. All the works created during th
 e week will be presented - from canvases and drawings to digital works and
  upcycling fashion. At the same time\, the intensive Paint Club Contest wi
 ll take place\, in which teams will create large-format works under time p
 ressure in several live rounds\, accompanied by music and moderation. The 
 day will be complemented by a fashion show with upcycled works.\nAll furth

  12.07.2026\nThis year's Urban Arts Campus at Garagencampus Chemnitz is an
  intensive urban arts experience for children and young people who not onl
 y want to look at graffiti\, street art and contemporary forms of creative
  expression\, but also experience\, understand and actively shape them the
 mselves. At the beginning of the creative week\, participants immerse them
 selves in the history\, culture and global development of graffiti and str
 eet art. Through talks\, films and joint screenings\, they gain insights i
 nto the origins of this movement in New York City\, its spread to Europe a
 nd the continuing significance of this culture to this day. This is follow
 ed directly by practical work. The creative week concludes with a special 
 film premiere. A short film specially produced during the entire creative 
 process captures the atmosphere\, the development of the artworks and the 
 personal stories of the participants.\nThe programme is aimed at teenagers
  and young people (aged 12 and over)\, but does not exclude other interest
 ed parties. Registration is required. The consent of a parent or guardian 
 is required for minors up to and including the age of 16. During the works
 hops\, supervision is provided by the workshop team. There may be free per
 iods outside of the workshop times. The responsibility for participation l
 ies with the legal guardians\, who must ensure that they are authorised to
  participate.\nParticipation in the URBAN ARTS CAMPUS is free of charge. E
 arly cancellation is recommended so that places that become available can 
 be reallocated. In the event of last-minute cancellations\, places may be 
 reallocated.\nAll materials required for the workshops will be provided. W
 ith the exception of textiles such as T-shirts or hoodies for the upcyclin
 g workshop\, which you must bring yourself. It is recommended that you wea
 r clothing that is suitable for creative work and can also get dirty\, as 
 you will be working with colours and spray materials.
